Gina Hannuksela Kicks Off the Summer with New Single “Baby Blue”

Are you ready to turn up the heat this summer? Gina Hannuksela is here to set the vibe with her latest single, Baby Blue – a bold, confident anthem for anyone stepping into their power. This R&B and trap-infused track marks the first release from her highly anticipated debut album.

With its infectious energy and unapologetic attitude, Baby Blue is the soundtrack of the season for all the baddies living their truth as Gina Hannuksela quickly becomes one of the most exciting voices in the Scandinavian music scene. As an artist, songwriter, and producer, she’s known for her genre-blending style and emotionally resonant lyrics. Her debut EP, Damage Control, released last year, earned praise from outlets like Kingsize Magazine for its raw vulnerability and sonic innovation. The EP explored themes of heartbreak, self-discovery, and resilience, marking Gina as a rising star with a distinct voice and vision.

About The New Release — Following the success of Damage Control, Gina wasted no time returning to the studio. Fueled by a wave of fresh inspiration, she began crafting her debut full-length album – a project that promises to be even more daring and personal. Baby Blue is the first taste of what’s to come, and it sets the tone with its confident lyrics, versatile flows, and genre-defying production. Baby Blue is produced by Swedish hip-hop producer Charly, with whom Gina previously collaborated on fan favorites like I Miss My Adidas and Let Me Explain. Charly’s sleek, modern production style blends trap drums with dreamy R&B melodies, providing the perfect canvas for Gina’s expressive vocals. Their creative chemistry is undeniable, and “Baby Blue” showcases the evolution of their partnership with a sound that’s both polished and emotionally charged.

“This song is just about being a baddie,” Gina explains. “It’s about feeling yourself, doing your thing, and not apologizing for it.” The writing process was lightning-fast, she recalls: “I barely remember it because it happened so quickly. I sat with the beat once or twice, and the whole song just came together – it felt so natural right away.” That spontaneity is reflected in the track’s fluid structure and dynamic energy, making it feel both effortless and empowering.

The single’s hook is instantly memorable, with Gina’s vocals gliding over the beat in a way that feels both intimate and anthemic. Her delivery is confident and playful, capturing the essence of summer freedom and self-love. Whether you’re getting ready for a night out or cruising with the windows down, “Baby Blue” is the kind of track that makes you feel unstoppable.

About The Artist — Visually, Gina continues to build a compelling artistic identity. The single’s cover art, shot by photographer Lukas A, captures the cool, confident energy of the track. Gina’s fashion-forward style – a mix of streetwear edge and high-fashion flair – complements her sound and reinforces her brand as a multidimensional artist. Her visuals are never just accessories to the music; they’re extensions of the story she’s telling.

Beyond the music, Gina is deeply involved in every aspect of her creative process. From songwriting and vocal production to visual direction and branding, she approaches her career with a hands-on, independent spirit. This DIY ethos has earned her respect among peers and fans alike, positioning her as a role model for emerging artists who navigate the industry on their terms.

As summer unfolds, “Baby Blue” is just the beginning. Gina’s debut album promises to be a bold statement of artistry, blending personal narratives with genre-defying production. She’s hinted at collaborations with other Scandinavian producers and artists, as well as themes that explore identity, empowerment, and emotional growth. • Listen to “American Doll”, The New Album by Jae.Ci — Out Now

Listen to “American Doll”, The New Album by Jae.Ci — Out Now

A new voice has been introduced to the world of music. Lyric soprano and songwriter Jae.Ci (Jae Carelli) has released their debut album, American Doll. The album features seven tracks. It was created to explore the emotional journey of transracial and international adoption through music, storytelling, and vulnerability.

The album was inspired by personal experiences. Jae.Ci was adopted from Korea and raised in an Italian-American family. Their story has been shared through music and performance. A sold-out premiere of their original show, Homeward Bound, was held in New York at The Cell. The show will be brought to Boston on June 7 at Somerville Music Spaces. Tickets can be purchased online.

About The New Release — In Homeward Bound, songs from American Doll are combined with classical works by American composers. These include Samuel Barber, Tom Cipullo, Carlisle Floyd, Bo Konigsmark, and Matthew Jihoon Pellegrino. The music is used to reflect Jae.Ci’s lived experience. The show blends classical and contemporary styles to tell a story that is both personal and universal.

The idea for the album came after attending a conference. Jae.Ci and their sister went to the Korean Adoptee/Adoptive Family Network Conference in 2023. A session about the seven core issues of adoption was attended. These issues—loss, loyalty, control, identity, abandonment, trust, and shame—were found to be deeply connected to Jae.Ci’s life. The themes were used to shape the album.

Each song on American Doll was written to reflect one of those core issues. The music is paired with storytelling that is often humorous, yet deeply emotional. Through this work, JAE.CI has challenged the common narratives around adoption. The voices of adoptees, which have often been silenced, are given space and strength.

The music on American Doll reflects a dual identity. Classical and contemporary vocal techniques are used to show contrast. Korean and Italian-American cultures are blended. The result is a sound that feels sacred and rebellious, studied and spontaneous. The album is not only a musical journey—it is a cultural reckoning.

About The ArtistJae.Ci is known for her wide musical background. She has trained in classical voice, piano, organ, flute, and harp. These skills have shaped her approach as a singer-songwriter. Her work bridges the gap between classical and modern music. In her voice studio, students are encouraged to sing their truth and find strength through music.

A painful truth was discovered in September 2024. It was learned that South Korea had profited from the adoption of over 250,000 children, including Jae.Ci and their siblings. This information was reported by The New York Times in March 2025. “My whole life, I was told I should be grateful,” JAE.CI said. “But that message erased my pain. I decided to reclaim my story and sing my truth.”

With American Doll, a powerful debut has been made. The album invites listeners to reflect, feel, and connect. Through music, Jae.Ci has shared a story that is both personal and important. Their voice has been heard—and it will continue to resonate.

  • Philly Music Quartet Mo Lowda & The Humble Offer A Creative Confidence Boost With Their New Groove “The Painter” — Out Now

Philly Music Quartet Mo Lowda & The Humble Offer A Creative Confidence Boost With Their New Groove “The Painter” — Out Now

Today, Philadelphia-based indie rock quartet Mo Lowda & the Humble shared their latest single, The Painter.” The synth-driven, bubbly, and encouraging tune aims to break free from self-doubt and maintain artistic inspiration through self-compassion and patience.

The band’s spirited, texturally rich fifth studio album, Tailing The Ghost, is due out June 20. Recorded entirely on the road, the spellbinding LP promises to be the band’s most commanding, cohesive body of work yet. Additionally, the group will soon embark on a lengthy North American tour spanning the summer and fall, with support from French Cassettes, Illiterate Light, and several festival appearances, including Boston Calling and Green River, among others. See the full list of dates and grab tickets now via molowda.com/motour.

About The New Release — Led by a steady, shuffling synthy guitar loop, “The Painter” encourages creativity. It shakes off writer’s block with its yacht rock-esque, relaxed energy. Jordan Caiola (lead vocals, guitar, bass) says the track tells the story of an artist facing doubt, pressure, and the challenge of finding inspiration to begin and complete work. With the theme “every canvas starts empty,” the song aims to give creators the push and confidence to share their work.

Built across many towns, days, and cabins, the bouncy, melodic tune came to life in Pioneertown, CA. While drawing jazz-inspired guitar tones from 1970s Pat Metheny and Robert Fripp, Jeff Lucci (bass, guitar, keyboard, vocals) also reflects on the ongoing struggle to stay ambitious and inspired, especially after the initial creative spark fades. Ultimately, finishing things is hard, but he believes it’s everything.

The previously shared double single “7.31/Sara’s Got Big Plans” shows the band coming to terms with change, while wishing the best to a past love through their signature warmth, gang vocals, and rhythm guitar. Meanwhile, earlier this year, they released the lush, guitar-driven track “Canary.” It’s splashy animated music video delves into the nerves of a budding new romance.

“[‘Canary’] has a carefree yet grounded energy. According to RIFF Magazine, surf-pop-inspired riffs give the song a familiar yet fresh feel, making it ideal for fans of alt-folk with a summery edge. Moreover, the outlet praised its free-flowing, airy spirit.

The upcoming fifth album, Tailing The Ghost, was written entirely on the road. Four members arranged songs face-to-face, working between meals, poker, and movies. Scenic views in Joshua Tree, Lake Travis, Colorado, and Tennessee shaped its sound. The music reflects each location—spacious like deserts, shimmering like lakes, and sweeping like mountains.

About The Artist — Emerging from Philadelphia’s house show scene, Mo Lowda & the Humble released their debut album Curse The Weather in 2013. Since then, they’ve played over 90 shows annually. Remaining independent, they’ve earned millions of streams across platforms. The quartet has wowed audiences worldwide and become festival veterans, regularly appearing at Firefly, Peach Fest, and Mountain Jam. Now, they’re set to level up with a bold album showcasing their chemistry, skill, and dynamic style.

With tight harmonies and a rolling rhythm, “The Painter” encourages trust in your creativity. Catch Mo Lowda & the Humble live this summer and fall across North America—tickets at molowda.com/motour.

  • Sarah Bernstein Debuts New Era With “Loser Of The Year”

Sarah Bernstein Debuts New Era With “Loser Of The Year”

Sarah Bernstein has risen to new heights with the single “Loser of the Year.” This is a departure from her previous works. Bernstein meticulously crafted a composition that authentically captures the essence of early 2000s angsty Pop Rock, drawing inspiration from iconic influences such as Fall Out Boy and the Freaky Friday (2003) soundtrack.

Through the intricate process of writing, performing, and recording the song, Bernstein found confidence, a sentiment that permeates the single’s very fabric. “Loser of the Year” is not merely a song; it is an invitation for listeners to experience and embrace the artist’s self-assured spirit vicariously.

About the New Release — “Loser of the Year” underwent a transformative evolution. “As a songwriter, the song is meaningful to me in a whole different way. I haven’t shared this yet, but it’s actually adapted from a song I wrote at 17,” says Bernstein. “I came across it in the archives of an old laptop last summer and shared it with my boyfriend Allan. Shockingly, it didn’t make either of us cringe. Instead, there was actually something really special about it that I noticed my songs didn’t have anymore. I’m happy to have that back.”

“Loser of the Year” was written by Sarah Bernstein and produced by Bernstein and her mentor, Shane Adams. It was engineered and mixed by Kenny Varga, and recorded in Nashville at Coop DeVille Studio featuring drums by Wes Little, bass by Luis Espaillat, guitar by Justin Ostrander, and piano by Shane Adams.

With mastering by Alex Dobbert at True East Mastering, this release marks a defining moment in Sarah Bernstein’s career, showcasing not only musical prowess but a deep-seated connection with their own narrative and a commitment to inspiring confidence in others.

About The Artist — A German-American Singer/Songwriter, after recording her EP Man in the Moon in Germany at 17 and publishing her music across streaming platforms, Sarah Bernstein’s original song ‘Boomerang’ went on to be a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. After initially attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, she transferred to Fordham University, where she found home in New York City. Her self-produced EP Spellbound is an ode to her time here, now approaching a decade.

During the pandemic, Sarah’s focus shifted from the stage back to songwriting and the studio. After returning to Berklee through their online certificate program, she was introduced to her mentor and producer, Shane. In November 2020, she traveled to Nashville for the first time. Her song ‘Till 3am’ was the first of five singles recorded there as she evolved her sound over the next three years. In July 2022, her single ‘Maxine’ debuted on German radio as part of Bayern 3’s Newcomer contest.

In 2023, Bernstein was thrilled to return to the stage to perform six solo shows beginning at The Mint in Los Angeles. She also crossed several iconic New York City venues off her bucket list, making her debut at Rockwood Music Hall and the legendary Bitter End (…twice) later that year. Her next release, “A Woman Like Me,” is currently in production and scheduled to be released this spring.
